winmail.dat - Strange behaviour when emailing DocuCom PDF file

Hi there,

We have installed DocuCom PDF Driver as advised by Access Accounting software in order to automatically send invoices by email as PDF attachments.  However, the emails are received with a "winmail.dat" attachment instead of a PDF file, which our customers cannot read.

The emails are being sent via Microsoft Outlook, and I have double-checked that they are being sent as plain text (ASCII) for maximum compatibility.  Another symptom is that when viewing the emails in the 'sent' folder, the mail icon is a closed envelope, much like the unread inbox mail icon.  All other emails sent manually have the usual open envelope next to them in the 'sent' folder.

Can anyone help please??

H.
