I'm trying to install PDF Driver 7.83R1 and installation always fails with the following error messages. I've written quite "direct" translations of the messages, because some parts of the error messages are in Finnish (there's no sense in Finnish messages either ;)

• http://www.baudia.fi/zeon/zeon1.gif (The specified printing control does not support required functions???)
• http://www.baudia.fi/zeon/zeon2.gif (Operation completed)
• http://www.baudia.fi/zeon/zeon3.gif

I've tried installing it to 2 different identical computers without success. The system setup is:

• DELL Optiplex SX280 (2,8 Ghz P4, 256 Mb RAM)
• Windows XP Professional SP2 (Finnish version)
• Computer is joined to Windows Server 2003 domain
• No printer or other hardware specific Group Policies are defined

Please, urgent help is needed!

I downloaded the screen shots and found that it is a known issue on specific system environments.

PDF Driver is a virtual printer. Therefore the installer needs to call "OpenPrinterW" (a Windows API) in order to add local port. The error message (zeon1.gif) means that "The specified print monitor does not have the required functions".

We confirm that this problem can be reproduced on few specific environments only, most of our users can normally install PDF Driver on their machines.

We will try to find a solution as soon as possible.

I have the same problems on a Dell Inspiron 9200 Notebook running XP/SP2 and only MS Office 2003 Basic, Bitdefender 8 Pro and Firefox installed.
And there were the same problem bevor I reinstalled windows...

Is there any solution in sight or maybe, can I help to solve the problems making some tests or something.
