cannot activate PDF Plus 8

anyone else have this trouble?

Windows XP- sp2.

installed PDF plus version 8.

I click on HELP | LICENSE INFORMATION | ACTIVATE

and then nothing happens -- I never get a window to pop up to allow me to enter my registration information, so I cannot activate the software.

have uninstalled and reinstalled, and still the same.
