Inserting pages in existing .pdf documents
Hi guys, This is a little long, but we hope you can provide a solution to this problem: Re: Docucom PDF Gold V785.R1 on Windows XP/SP2 - For some time we've been creating documents from MS Excel & Word without a problem. We also receive some .pdf files from various business partners and have been combining some of them into "Master Documents" by inserting one document into another. We just discovered that one of these "Master Documents" cannot be inserted into .pdf's newly created by using the Docucom printer driver from within MS Excel. The newly created .pdf seems to be fine - it inserts, extracts and so forth with other documents without error. However, when the newly created .pdf is opened and an insert is attempted with either one of two particular pre-existing "Master Documents", we get a message which says "Cannot insert "XXXXXXXXXXXXX.pdf" into this document." We get this message only with 2 similarly created & formated documents which reside in the same folder. I've recreated one of them several times and the insertion functions properly initially, but fail after a day or two [exact time period/circumstances unknown]. I have checked the properties of each and have noticed several differences within the original [4] separate .pdf files which were used to create them: Three of the files had a P.D.F. Version of 1.3, one file had P.D.F. version 1.4 The files were originally created using either QuarkXpress Adobe PS 8.7.3 (301) with Acrobat Distiller 4.05 for MacIntosh, and QuarkXpress pictwpshops Filter 1.0 and Acrobat Distiller 7.0 for MacIntosh for the later ones. Any help you can provide would be appreciated John
